When they do mold spore testing, they usually test the air outside your home, then test the air inside your home and measure the difference. A high mold spore count inside the home compared to outside indicates a problem.Haaha!
We are mold remediators not inspectors. That is so there is no conflict of interest.
Yes, a certified industrial hygienist should be sought out. Anyone can hang a sign saying they are an inspector but without the credentials, their reports have little value.
Even if that little bit of mascara was mold it isn't enough to be a real concern. It should be cleaned up but a professional isnt needed.
Color isn't an indication of how bad the mold is. The media has overblown "black mold". It the amount of mold, the type of mold but not the color.
Mold is everywhere, it is ubiquitous. We all live with mold, it is in everyone's homes. It only becomes a concern when it is out of control.
Fo the inspector to say it is "mold free" is an untruth. Every time the door opens you let mold in. If you have household plants you have many mold spores in your home.
Its all about the dose, the dose makes the poison. A little isn't a problem, a lot can be.
Isn't that what I just said?Yes because a high count in the built environment is indicative of a problem.
That's a lot of make up.
Sounds like a lot of work... and profit! We have not used it yet. Most of the time we establish critical barriers, erect containment, put the chamber under neg air, remove the contamination, HEPA vacuum, air scrub, then have clearance testing scheduled.
I agree its complete BS that homes are mold free because it doesn't present. Mould lives on earth. It's reproductive cells are microscopic It takes up residence in conditions that favour it. Every breath you take introduces mould spree to your warm, dark, wet lungs. But you immune system constantly fights attack by it. As you say we all live with it everyday.Haaha!
