I have a 1999 Dodge B 2000 Ram van and a week ago my red brake indicator light ( the one that shows when the parking brake is applied) and the ABS light both came on and have not gone off since. The parking brake is not stuck and the fluid is not low. The pads are good but the lights remain lit.
My mechanic says that that will happen on this van if I spin the rear tires. I did go up a steep dirt road recently and did spin the tires so that could have been the cause, but I have never heard of such a thing. My mechanic says the lights will reset after a certain amount of starting the truck.
Is he right?
