Just wondering, Seems like it doesn't work as well after setting in the van for a couple months. Now I normally mix it with water to thin it out so it can be sprayed with a trigger sprayer.

I buy 2 quarts a month... Heat is the biggest HP killer imo....

So you guys are saying even the undiluted, that I have in the van is no good? And you can't stock up and buy a lot at one time even if its kept in a cool place?

40 volume is 12% and I can only image that percentage going down over time.

Try using Sodium Precarbonate instead. Orange Force 1 is the cheapest way to buy it.

Yeah, it will stay good in a cool place with no direct sunlight for a long time... I think Proschoice OSR is just powder peroxcide(?) which will be more stable if you don't use it much, and you can mix what you need...

I've got some Master blend Soap Free isn't that powdered Peroxcide? I don't like it as a rinse, but If it's Peroxcide I could use it as a spotter :?:

Heat, light, and time are its enemies. Since I have a Sally's here I don't stock it much anymore. I keep what I need in a tiny foam cooler in the truck which seems to work fine.

What kind of 40 volume are you using that needs thinning to be sprayed?

Just two other things from what I have read that could be mentioned.

If you have a larger amount, one quart, keep it in one of those dark collapsible photo chemical bottles.

As it is used, with the cap off, you push the bottle down to reduce air content, then screw the cap on.

In a sealed bottle, especially in the van where it gets hot, the peroxide will build up gas and force it's way out through the cap, sometimes even bursting a seal and leaking.

It does lose potency with heat, air, age and sunlight.

Sounds a bit like me I guess. shiteatinggrin

Fifty years ago, it used to be great for my hair, now, I ain't so sure. thathurts

Ooroo,

How many ounces should I add to a hydroforce to boost a prespray?

I am using boost all now but it is such a pain to boost the pre-spray, end up adding so much water....

Can I carry the straight 40 volume and add it to the pre-spray or should I dilute it before bringing it?

The 40 volume or 12% peroxide needs stabilizing ...

or the strength will be cut in half in a week.

We use two stabilizers in our Liquid Brightener.

For best stability, the straight percarbonate is the choice.

If it is pure (like our Powder Brightener) it will have no odor at all:

How can you use that stuff on stain resistant carpet with a P.H. of 10.5?

Do you believe everything CRI tells you ???

Actually, a rinse will drop the pH to under 9.

Yes. Order some of Larry's liquid or powdered brightener.

When you need peroxide, or need a higher ph cleaner to clean the floor. Stain resistant warranties go out the window way before you put your "illegal" chemicals on the carpet.

A rinse with what? I use a powdered emulsifier with a P.H of 9.5?

A water rinse will drop the pH to a "CRI approved" level.
