Hate to bother you all, "Porty Hack" here who's been cleaning carpets at an upscale retirement home for 14 year now (Doing a bang up job as well). We recently had a vacancy in 1 apartment that was only occupied for about 6 months (non assisted living). It's white commercial carpeting of fairly good quality with a decent amount of nap to same, but of course there's a few areas where people put their feet onto the same place constantly and made some wear patterns. I did a H.W. extraction cleaning using Mr. Saiger's "Code Red", carpet wasn't super soiled but did need refreshing.
Needless to say the wear areas still show up after cleaning, so my boss got out the low speed floor machine with shampoo bucket on same and did a bonnet cleaning over the affected areas. I extracted the shampooed carpeting as instructed, but I don't notice any difference in the affected areas after said procedure was done...Does this bonnet cleaning procedure actually do anything or is it mostly a 'dog and pony show' ???
