Just wondering. Say 200 degrees at the carpet. Anyone know?. It would do a number on grease. You'd think it would take this stuff out as well.

Do the mills/IICRC/CRI have a maximum temperature for cleaning?.

Stain Master carpets had a 150 temp limit when they first came out.

That limit was dropped some time ago, though

also, 200 degrees at the "fiber" probably doesn't happen much.
(if at all)

Most guys running "normal" TMs and wands aren't getting more than 150 at the "fiber"

a stock Ti wand will only get 180 to the "fiber" with continuous sustained flow @ 272 temp ATM

In my testing of 150° ± atc is doesn't remove the protector that we use. To make a blanket statement, all the different brands would have to be tested.

That's a hell of a drop. Forgot who but some guy was feeling the water coming out of the wands at MF. I thought the dude was nuts thinking he'd get burned but I guess he knew what he was doing.

Al, the temp tests we did with 2 jet wands was down right pitiful

sustained 280 ATM yielded 128 ATF w/04 jetting
The 06 flow 2 jet wand got to 142

You can buy a quick rise digital candy thermometer at Harbor Freight for $10.
$6 bucks when on sale.

lay the probe on the carpet under the jet spray and "go to school"

I put a thermometer on my wand a while back, with the sensor wire run down to the floor between the jets. I was only getting a max reading of 130F. Thought that was because my truck temp was only 190. Running an 06 flow at 400psi.

SO there is At the Truck temps
At the Wand temps
and At the Carpet temps.

What would an 12flow or greater get the fibres up to?
