I don’t have the courage to upsell from 9.99 t0 250 or 300 something dollars in person or even over the phone.

Who teaches these people how to do this?

I don’t have a problem with guys selling protector at all.

It's also how I started. Over 30 years ago, it was $39.95 for a living room, attached dining area and hall. It was a scam then and still is now. We were expected to sell at least $60 more on every job. We were much better trained than those slobs in the video. You could not say no to us.

Haha Jeff Bishop , and Mike West made 15k one weekend certifying a 100 of our techs!

West said they never had a class that big!

Bumped into him with my Dad in Vegas a few years back at connections.

I recently read a “technical services newsletter” written by Beaulieu Of America that claimed that “the effectiveness of fluorochemicals is reduced by approximately 30 % with each scheduled cleaning.” In addition to the already diminished effectiveness of the protector due to day to day foot abrasion I have to agree with the short lady. The protector should be applied after each cleaning.

The guy doing some body work for us said he had Stanley out for$100 but ended up $600 and did a crap job.

I think that owners been gone awhile now haven't seen a Stanley in a couple years.

I obviously hate to hear that but just like O/O’ers each franchise is its own business entity, and thus is ran as the owner see’s fit. I have no doubt that I have techs that have done this and maybe even still are. But it’s my job to try to identify those individuals, set the ethical standards and instill my values on them..., if it doesn’t take, send them packing with s referral letter to ZeroRez

More current testing has shown ~17% is removed with a TM extraction. Wear is another factor with water-based fluorochemicals since they leave a brittle coating. Solvent-based fluorochemicals are better in both respects, since they are not brittle coatings. . .

Did you feel bad doing it? no, I saw how not to do it when I was trained, much like the assholes in the video and found a way to sell pre-scrubbing with a 175 I bought while still doing a good enough job on light soil areas if they didn't want to spend more. I never ever told them that the base price was worthless.

How long did it take to get used to doing it daily? much like prison sex, it took a week or so to get use to it.

Did you believe the bs you told the customer? Sure, I was 19 and didn't know any better. It's not like Sam ever sat me down and lectured me on the science of it all.

So you never heard one of my the original nylon Filiment was round and abrasion caused light refraction to cause fiber to appear darker?

So they invented a more

Curved fiber image to reflect light!

Aka soil hiding characteristic!

Anso 4 with the 4 holes drilled through the center of the fiber was the best for reflecting light!

Not ringing a bell???

Guess you were gone by then sorry!
