Does your VAT do the shimmy on the freeway?

Most UD VAT owners I've talked to have to suffer through the steering wheel shimmy/vibration on the open road.

It occurs between speeds of 40 to 60 mph.

New tires, proper inflation, front end alignment, wheel balancing all can help but in most cases it comes back.

My mechanic found another cause yesterday.

This bracket was real loose on both sides of the clamp that holds the leaf springs together..

Big Big difference on the ride home.


Gives yours a check.

mine has a slight shimmy at about 55. so i will check mine on sunday.
