my wand crapped out on me the other day at the jets. I took the jets off to clean the filters and they were totaly caked with crud.( i dont know why I have put off cleaning the jets for so long.) I hooked the wand up to what I thought was an old 100 psi ninja to make sure the wand worked and it blasted a bunch more water than what I could ever remember it doing. looked in the machine and turns out there was a 200 psi pump in there . The only reason I never new is because I always used the crudded up wand with it. To think I was gonna get a new pump for that machine too because I thought it was only 100 psi.

I'm so disappointed in you Jon!

Does your wand have an inline screen? If not you can add one to filter the debris before it ever gets to your jets.

I just emailed the carpet supervisor to have the carpet tech's check their jets on their wands. Thanks!

You'll not be an "idiot" if you remember this lesson, and also apply it to other maintenance issues with your equipment.

We've all done something similar. Seized up blowers come to mind as an expensive example.

Maybe run some vinegar through that wand. Joe Harper told me about that trick for a porty. I bet it would help the jets too.

Yes, the vinegar does the trick. At least for me it does.

When I clean my system, I do it all at once. Since I run an inline and never run the chems through my pump, I mix up a strong mixture of vinegar to run it through my hoses, along with the wand, too. It seems to work great. The amount of crud that comes out of those jets is amazing. Then I'll follow it up with straight hot water to flush out all the vinegar, then hook it up to my air compressor to "blow dry" the lines.

I don't do it too often, maybe 2-3 times a year.

I was having the same issue not to long ago after descaling my machines it kept cloging the inline filters and jets for about a week. I am puting inline filters that are easy to clean out near the quick connects on all my wands. Many times you notace the machine is a little off but can't take time to work out bugs. When you do get around to making the correction you'll wonder how you where able to get by for so long.

When are going to get the kerosene heater hooked up to the Junior-1?
