if someone else takes content from your site onto theirs, Google will notice and you can/will lose your Google rankings placement.

Google now has Google Authorship which is supposed to help with this problem by linking the content on your site to your Google+ account: https://plus.google.com/authorship

idk, seems i see a lot of businesses with the g+ link on them. my web guy has it on mine. i hope it's kosher.

There was a guy in Florida that had my exact copy word for word except for company name and phone number.
