The link worked for me.
(took a while to load)

It was nothing new.

Although from my experience.

Most cleaners don't seem to have a clue how to how to do this or why.

Link works now.
It's just a quick article to put you in the shoes of your customer.

Like Dave said...nothing new really...but some may not know of it.

"It was nothing new" seems to be one of the common comments made about every "new" marketing or self help book, thread or statement made. While true (there is nothing new under the sun), it's a bit misleading because everybody needs reminding or enlightening about most topics.

I read that and thought about how I interact with my customers. Most of my time is spent teaching them about the differences between me and the other cleaners and what I do to set myself apart. After reading the article, I think I could accomplish the same thing if I spent more time asking them what their concerns were and what they were expecting from me. I would still have met my needs, but left them feeling that they have found a cleaner that is focused on their needs.

Nothing new, but very important.

Sorry about being a little flippant by saying "it was nothing new."

I was trying to shock the cleaners that don't have a clue how to do this or the ones that forgot.

After talking to hundreds of cleaners it is surprising how it seems most cleaners don't seem to know to sell, how to care or they are scared to sell.

I was taught many, many moons ago.

To remember that you have one mouth and two ears for a reason.

Ask questions and then shut up and listen to the client.

Then repeat...............................

Because only by listening to the client you'll be able to help them with what "THEY" want or need.

And your bottom line will increase without clients thinking you are a pushy self centered salesman.

You'll also show your care and concern by listening more.

Common sense in often uncommon when it comes to marketing/salesmanship.
