My 3 from a decade ago still work just fine.

Granted I dont use them often but I did put them back in the van a few weeks ago.

No daisy chain outlets on them neither. The originals. Maybe even older than a decade.

I got 4 or 5 gathering dust. swapped them out for a velo or two in the vans. I hated having to walk on clean carpets or floors to retrieve them and they need a little longer cord.

^ Perfect example of what Pemberton and Melon say about carpet cleaners.
We carry shoe covers and hand them out to each customer on request in checkout. However most don't you walking back in clean areas. Isn't it a valid criticism.....

1). Have to setup onto the cleaned areas in a room.
2). Needs longer cord

If ya don't walk on clean areas, who puts the furniture back? I use a wet towel to wipe my supply/waste and soulition hoses as i reel um into the van. I also lay it down and wipe my shoes before i walk back on clean carpet weather its to pickup blowers place blocks and tabs or whatever. Theres always at least 1 damp towel that i can use. This i put on shoe covers i use a hover craft i roll out and back a barrier, i use sanitized stilts etc etc just use a damp towel you should have one on every job anyway if for nothing else but to wipe up drips and onerspray at thresholds

The velo's are nice but 4 or 5 will take up alot of space in a van i have 17 older Sahara style blowers they take up a huge amount of space when used generally used just for flood work i also have 6 velo pro and 2 stealth av3000 i use sometimes to dry commercial jobs but i carry 5 dri pods on the van all the time because they stack up and only occupy about a 1'×1' space and are always on hand for that customer that's worried about drying. I loan them free in those cases and charge 25.00 to pick them up but if the customer is willing to bring them back to my shop it's free they also work great to dry areas when cleaning tile and if 1 is lost or broke im only out 100 bucks not 300-400 . If mine are lost/stolen or broken, Personally I'm not really out anything but the time it took to enter coupons. I got 7 dri pods, 6(soon to be 8) velo pros, &2 stealth av3000's with legend rewards points (also a prochem stainless upholstery tool and a sapphire scientific upholstery tool) i love free stuff ! The other nice thing with loaning out dri pods is that their small enough that most customers bring back to my shop where as when i loan out the older blowers or the velo's women often have me pick um up because there too big for them to handle moving in and outa vehicles

I put furniture back as im cleaning. Pull it out clean behind or under and put it back. Then I clean the traffic lanes on my way out.

I rarely use fans anymore but thought it was a good idea to have them handy for that concerned customer.

When I use them the floor is about dry when I retrieve them. I will kick my shoes off and just kick the foot marks so they dont look so obvious.

Shoe covers are a trip hazard. I only use them when I have to walk on damp carpet to retrieve payment. I wont leave them for customers.

I can carry all 3 in together. I wouldn't mind having 2 more. They wouldn't take up any more space in the van and I think I could still carry them all in together. Maybe 3 more. 3 in a room dries it pretty fast.

They're are loud though.

The dri-podz do very well drying when 2 or 3 chained in a room. Both are dri-eaz products anyways so they make their money either way. I rather have choices as opposed to one option 👍

You guys have fancy fans. I am only familiar with my janitor style snail fans. These things crank some air, but I do wish it spread out more.

I have other fans too. I just like these in the van compared to the others.
The others get used mostly in the shop for rug drying. I use 2 per 8x10 rug.
I felt like the bigger fans need to be moved to dry more area.
The dri pods I set up before I leave the room so I can clean the foot prints so they dont dry in the carpet. They are the last thing to get collected at the end of the job.
