dri pods

are the small dri pods decent at all? or does it make more sense to get a larger stronger downdraft air movers?

just trying to gauge approx how strong the small pods are and if they can dry a room quickly

there are obviously more powerful but good for popping into a room while doing the next room or while working on stains

would you say if your dry times without fans were normally 4hrs or so average that you could drastically reduce that to maybe an hr with their power?

I know the big studebaker ones will but wondering if packing these would be better because its easy to carry them around

I can get almost touch dry on nylons in about 20mins or 30mins on most wools in my summer when running 350psi 6 flow

not a huge coverage area but like you say they are small and easily handled

You might try a Stealth. It's a very versatile airmover. Very light weight, easy to carry and store in the van.

I have 3 dri pods that I keep on the van too. I really like them but I think at $200 each the pheonix might be better at $300 ea.

Never compared dry times though but the dri pods do a good job.

I think I really want to get all down draft air movers, we have the omni mini air movers and they are good but I feel a downdraft air mover in the center of the room is a lot more effective plus you can crank it up and not blow pictures off the walls.

are the stealth ones down draft or regular? couldnt tell from the pics I googled if it aims straight down

I would think a shear effect blowing across a room is more effective than something blowing down in a small limited area.

The stealth pull from the top with a fan blade instead of the squirrel cage. Easier stacking and less room. Also to me the quietest.

The pods are small light and easy to carry four at a time where others its two at a time. They don't dry as fast but I move them around a little and it helps.

I have a Studebaker that rarely gets used. Too big heavy and loud.

Can be used in any position you like. Excellent for focusing air at stairs, upholstery, ceilings or floors but, it doesn't have the hp of a Studebaker.

I have two mini Omni Air movers and two dripods for residential. the small air movers I usually put on hard surfaces blowing into rooms I just cleaned. the dripods you can plop anywhere.

Studebaker and Phoenix are used for drying commercial

So I saw all the raves of the Stealth on this board and bought one. Great fan but prefer the setup I have so its for sale if anyone wants it. Like brand new

right on, ill prob go with 4 dri pods per truck for bedrooms and then something larger for bigger basement rooms etc

I love my DriPods but they were never meant for "Us" to be using them, rather the rental market.

Treat them very carefully. Store them on the floor of your work vans/trucks so no chance of falling off a shelf

I carry 2 DriPods, my main use for them though is to dry upholstery, mattresses & stain removal situations.

hmm maybe cant link amazon stuff on here.. they are on amazon if you search XPOWER X47-ATR they have a few sizes, 1/2HP for $199, 1/3HP for $319. They are similar design to the ones Desk Jockey showed a pic of... they can aim straight down or in any direction.

ya thats why Im going for really strong down draft fans. Were going to change around our marketing a bit and really push the speed dry. They come tomorrow so well test them out on one truck and see what kind of dry times we get on about 15 jobs just to get an idea of how well they work.
