I get calls from people on the road either complaining about my driving or my reaction to their driving...here is what I say when they call, they not realizing I am driver/owner...

”What! What did the driver look like and where did this occur??!!
He gave you the middle finger?why I ought to...! Wait to I get ahold of him! I appreciate reporting this idiot...the moment he gets back to the shop I will ring his neck and reprimand him! Thank you very much!

hang up politely and then crank up the tunes...that’s all.

Have you given people the middle finger while driving a logo'd van?

i dont give middle finger salutes, not my nature.. I do ask just to see what they say.

i simply listen and agree with the caller just to defuse and calm the caller. I’ve unintentionally made mistakes on the road....we all have one time or another. Other times drivers make mistakes.

Another thing I do is when I make a mistake, I put my hands together like a prayer and gesture the words, ‘I am sorry’ please forgive me.

The other driver sometimes is fuming...I find this tactic diffuses them and changes their facial expression to..”What the hell” Works every time. Plus it continues me calm and peaceful within.

Road Rage not not worth getting stress, hurt or possible death. I love coming home safely. My kids need me.

I drive so defensively I don't get in many situations where it bothers me. I have a lot of patience usually but Genny rubs off on me sometimes. When she drives I have to correct her bad habits.
I don't like letting others control my emotions but it happens.

I don't know what it is about Minnesota drivers but for some reason even if I'm going over the speed limit will tailgate me in my van when there is other lanes open.... So I just slow down and let them fix their own stupidity.

Are you driving in the fast lane with other lanes open?

What you are describing is not unique to just Minnesota.

My wife will do that... on a 3 lane expressway with no other traffic, she will come up behind a slower vehicle and wait until she has to slow down before looking to change lanes. That's why I drive when we go out.

I'm still trying to get Genny to just keep driving like she was before the tailgaters. I try and not adjust my driving because of the idiots behind me.

I find it amusing when I'm not in a hurry and someone is tailgating me in the right lane with the option to go around and if it really bugs me ill just lay off the gas and slow down till they finally pass me with their middle finger up. I think people just assume work vehicles drive slow and most people are paying attention to their phone and not their speedometer

My girlfriend does that as well and it drives me insane. We'll be coming up on a vehicle that is clearly going slower than us and will wait till last second to go around. Also why I drive everywhere and let her be my map guide.

Instant Karma today. I'm driving down the highway, change lanes to pass a slow moving truck. As I get past, I can't get immediately back to the slow lane as there is a car merging on. There is a white Cadillac Escalade behind me, right on my ass and flashing his lights. As I pass the car merging on, I look over and think it's probably a cop, (plain grey Ford sedan with plain black tires, no hubcaps). I put on my turn signal and pull in front of him, going about 8-9kph over the limit. Before I complete my lane change, the Escalade goes flying past me. I am thinking, "if that was a cop, he should be going after that guy". Before I even finish that thought, the lights come on and he pulls over the Escalade. As I go by I can't help thinking, "serves you right, asshole".
