I have a end channel cut on mine and have used it with my AT, 650 and 370.

No drying or use issues.

I bet that’s it. So you cut those channels yourself or it came like that?

I have a different glide than yours, I cut down the bridges, can't recall on the ends

mine has 4 long slots. You have more or less slots?

I have vac relief at the wand cuff, not the glide, and it is adjustable from on to off.

It also makes cleaning rugs and pet proof carpet a lot easier by eliminating wand lock down.
