I know I've seen these, but now I can't find them. Anyone know where to get an adapter that plugs into a dryer outlet and gives you 2 plugs for a portable extractor?

If all you are changing is the connection for the power, maybe you better check that the power rating is correct.
Running a 220/240 volt piece of equipment on 110 volts does not always work well, nor does a 110 volt on 220/240 volts
Some burn out.
Some cause fires.
Some have even caused electrocution.
Electricity is not to be played with if you do not know what you are doing.

Shorty, it just splits it into (2) 110 V circuits. Every home has at least 220 from the street. It's just (2) 110 V circuits coming in that are combined to produce the 220-240 for the larger appliances. All these things do is split that power back to 2 separate circuits (as far as I know).

I s'pose they'd be nice for empties or WD work.
If that's your intent, fine and dandy.
but if you plan to use it for residential work, forgive me if this sounds negative, but would you "really" ask Mrs Phiff if you can move her drier out to plug in your porty?
(not all drier plugs are easily accessible from the top)
Would you really risk scratching her floor or pulling the drier vent hose off?
