Dual Wanding with the Pro1200SE

How is the dual wanding performance working out on the new rig?

Are you able to carry enough hose on the reels?
Do you have to pay attention to what the other wand is doing? (If the other wand has been left off the floor/un sealed does your wand lose most of it's suction?
What flow and how hot?

Any other owners giving it a go?

you beat me to the punch. its crap a video but it works.

water pond hose reel only carrys 250 ft of 2 inch hose, took 150 ft with me and 150 ft of solution line. easy peasy with all the room in the back of the van.

you didnt have to worry about if the other wand was on or off the floor. but i did tell the guys to keep it on the floor as much as possible. Suction with one wand off the floor still sucked harder than my rage does. just remember though im running holded glides so there is some restriction built in even when one wand is off the floor.
both wands are 8 flow, 16 flow total, feeding the machine cold water (45 degrees) it still was creating 195-200 degrees. but if one guy was prespraying and using less flow it spiked up to 220 for the other guy still wanding.

when im back to do this job again ill feed the machine directly with warm water and see what the heat peaks at. on commercial is where i like it the hottest anyways, but wanted to show you guys real world every day usage and temps.

2 wands, both west pacs i got from Pembertons with my sapphire machines. 12 inch heads, holed glides, 8 flow, 2inch tubes, with soft touch valves on each.

i wonder if the pro 1200se with two 2.5 inch hoses off the machine for the first 50 ft would make the suction even better.

I had the same blower on my C4.
While great for single wand cleaning, it certainly did not perform like yours is.

I have to think that waste tank design is the biggest influence, followed by operating speed..

I'm still loving this machine, honeymoon is turning into full time vacation if you ask me.

I'm knocking off serious time from each job, getting the same dry times as my rage (1-2 hours) yes i still dry pod, but honestly it shows the customer you care when you speed dry their carpet to get them back into action.

Its hotter than my rage even when dual wanding, im sure the two coolant heat exchangers are to blame along with the huge heat exchanger the length of the machine itself.

if you heard the second guy in the video, he said he learned not to touch the brass on the solution line, and that was dual wanding, he usually runs the rage. haha. rage is still hot but not like the pro is. and for not having to spend a dime extra for the heat. i'm loving that aspect.

I gotta get on my pc and upload some pics. My first full day with my pro1200SE was today. 35 degrees, Medium speed, 220 atm, only had a 6 flow aw29 to use today though. I'm using my 09 flow Ti wand tomorrow, haven't had a chance to notch out the new one for the green glide yet

I really happy with my 570 I do like the 1200se compact design but I think I would probably pull the trigger on a 650hp or a 870 if I get any busier. Then again another 570 isn't out of the question. 2 man crew one vacuum's, one pre sprays one scrubs the other steams, tag team moving fans and furniture. Almost no time for a second wand. Hard to decide.

You duel truckers does each person vacuum thier own space move thier own furniture back themselves up and drop fans?????? just split the job???? seams like the job wouldnt be that much faster.

Sounds like the 570 is all you need if you are cleaning as described with just one wand out to 200'

TM's remind me of motorcycles where 25 years ago 500 cc was a big fast bike. Now that is considered a beginners bike or a girls bike.

I am interested in the 1200 se though I would like a video of it at 150'.. The sound of the vac at 200' was a little weak for me.. Maybe 50' of 2.5" might boost it enough, I'm used to it screaming at the wand.

Keith You have a everest or apex??? with the same 408 blower? running at 408cfm? the 570 cfm is 454 and the 1200se goes over 500 cfm, I would think most machines running 2 200 ft hose runs would sound weak.

Still a 408 blower single wand does scream my prochem 405 does to at a 100 feet.

dual wanding at 150 or single wanding at 150 ft.

They are similar blowers but the 570 and 1200se have the Heli flow as the Apex has a Triflow 408. Both GD blowers. I am betting the Heli is the better performer and more expensive / less noise and vibration

The Apex has the same Blower as the SS 460.

And then of course now we have the CycloBlower

Yes, Apex 408.. I wouldn't run two wands on the Apex, two upholstery tools sure! It sounds like they speeded up the blower on the 1200, so I was curious.

same blower but sped up on the 1200se

the apex blower spins at 3100 rpm's so ya the heli flow is a better performer.

its not the same. The heliflow has to spin at a faster rate in order to acieve the same CFM as other blowers at a slower RPM.

I havent checked out the spec sheet but am pretty sure the apex is n ot turning their blower that fast. Max rpm is 3600, turning at 3,100 just doesnt seem to fall in line with the longevity that prochem would want out of their machines. Maybe someone can post a spec sheet.

BTW, max rpm on the heli-flow is 4000 so you need to look at the charts to compare CFM

The Heli is 497 CFM @ 14 hg
Tri Flow is 455 CFM @ 14 hg_both spinning at 3600

The Heli requires 20 hp and the Tri flow 19 hp at 3600 rpm 14 hg

They can both handle 16 hg and 4000 RPM

The Heli has about 10% more CFM but requires 5% more HP

The main benefit of the Heli is noise and vibration.

99% of the people probably can't tell the difference at the end of the wand anyway
