I have a proper fuel tap kit (with spill flap) for a 2007 CHEVY Express. Does a standard 18 hp Vanguard need a low pressure feeder pump to supply the stock fuel pump? Or will draw OK on it's own?

If so, do you mount the feeder pump underneath the van or inside?

I know the Prochem kits come with a pump and cage for underneath the van.

Is it best to have the fuel line enter the floor near the fuel fill neck and then run it over the engine or run it under the van floor and enter closer to the engine?

Yes you will need a 2psi 12 volt elec pump too.

Mine is mounted inside, i have the fuel line run under the van up thru the floor close to the TM

Bill;

It needs a low-pressure pump right at the fuel filler neck. Make sure it is powered by the engine charging system.

Run the hose under the truck to a good location.

Run the hose thru a plastic bushing up to the engine.

Thanks Larry and Ades.

Larry I wish you were not so far away!

It should be powered off the off the charging system on the Vangaurd not the van, correct? It needs to power on and off with the Vangaurd ignition, right?

I was thinking of just using the same power leads that power the pulse pump on the side of the Vangaurd.

the fuel pump should be as close to the fuel tap as possible the fuel pump.it is easier to push fuel than pull fuel.
