Is this your electric tm setup??
No. It's the gasoline slide-in with HighOutput LP, Roots 45, Cat pump, Honda motor.

The ETM can run dual wands, but it takes too many plugs, so, when we need it to run dual wands, we use the genset on-board, and 2 circuits from the house. It is however, a mess of spaghetti hoses and wires all over the place. lol...

When I use my ETM, I use only 2 -15 amp circuits, no 20 amp, because 20 amp circuits are just too hard to find.

understood, Bob
but it's nowhere near the performance of a 45 @ 3000rpm/15hg either

you made the comment that lectromounts didn't sell due to guys wanting BIG blowers.
My point was, that's not at all the reason.
the reason is, they're nothing more than glorified portys ..that AIN'T so portable anymore.

and the ones that aren't glorified portys, need mega watts
Like that crazy Mytee thing that used a $5000 alternator that need the VAN engine running.
or 40+ amps to run on cords

and if not mistaken, the old units you sold (back around '01-04??) needed a 72kw generator

I use no generator - it defeats the purpose of an electric machine in the first place.

i agree
but with two 15a cords, you're not running TM....you're running a porty in a van

what you, Terry and Mytee fail to recognize, if a guy is going to run on porty power, he's better off doing it Art's way.. cause it's more versatile due to being "easily" portable

This^^^ interests me. I use the Dwellpro regularly and I need 2 20amp outlets (because of the cat pump and pump out) and even at 35feet of hose I could not come close to the power of my 45roots.
What type of vacuum system does that have? My ETM has 2 separate pumps - one is a Cat for 1200 PSI (rarely used), and the other is a PumpTec for 600 PSI, more than enough pressure for just about every job, which uses only 4 amps. I use 2 -115 CFM vacuums in parallel, for 230 CFM. It does the job every time.

No, it's not as much as a #45, but it works and gets the carpet dry just fine. I have never had a dry time complaint in over 15 years of using this setup. Remember, we are lifting dirty water from carpet fibers.

Larry,

The ETM that I have is miles away from any portable, but you have never seen or used this one, so you really don't know, do you?

so you really don't know, do you?

only the one I saw when Steve Smith and i visited your home in '02 (??)
as well as one of the Summer fests ..Baltimore maybe??
I'm presume they were the same generation?
(if not same unit)

and saw the one you had at MF in Nashville a few years ago.
was that the latest generation??

Terry had a lectrobox there too

any lectro vacs and pump that can run on two 15a cords total, are portys, Bob
hooked in a van, or on dolly wheels matters not...cause they're still portys performance wise to the guys who've been running med size positive displacement blower TMs for years

I remember your visit in '02. However, we didn't even operate the ETM because you were here to see Steve run his stuff. Baltimore, yes I was there, but you didn't see the unit operate there either. Same in Nashville, you didn't stop by to see it run, but I understand you weren't interested in one so that makes sense. The one in Nashville was the final generation.

However, I am going to take issue about your statement that anything that runs on only 2 -15 amp circuits total is just a porty, and has no truckmount performance.

Today we took out the ETM because the slide-in van broke the serpentine belt. Here's a video of the ETM cleaning, using only two 15 amp circuits. I think it rivals many gasoline truckmounts just as it is. 230 CFM, 600 PSI PumpTec pump (also a 1200 PSI Cat pump for dual wands and tile), 30 GPM APO, screaming LP heater (set today at 190º) (you can hear it in the background at the van), normal cleaning strokes, no genset running, 100' of 2" vac hose (even left the hose in the garage coiled up to reduce the vacuum), and parked inside the garage because it was raining today. The system has separate modules so it can take on any shape you need for any job - something a porty can never do. We did 2 dual wand jobs with this ETM today, and the final one wand job shown in the video. Yeah, I know, you saw a pool filter, but I have a few of them, and they do work. Does it sound like there is any restriction at the wand using the pool filter?

Zee, this is also for you because you said the vac with your ETM at 35 feet was not even close to your TM. That should not be that way.

Would you please, for the love of the lord, make that tech take the spotter bottle off his pocket. Unless thats an ETM hydro-force, then it's ok!!!
