Easy fix on honda?

Look like my engine that died on me just before Thanksgiving might be an easy fix..

Tore into it today.

Everything turns smoothly..

I'll fix it and put it into another machine, or have it on stand by as a back up.

or maybe not.. looks like the cam shaft gear is sold as a complete assembly.

About 3k,,

Found the parts for under $200.00

I'll fix it back up.. And check a few other things while I'm at it.

I have another frame, blower, pump needing an engine and little giant heater.

the picture looks like a few teeth are missing. if they are then i would worry about the metal tearing something else up.

Saw some liquid cooled 24 hp kohler engines on ebay for around $1000, thought about picking one up for a spare.

We had a customer call today for a 24 HP cam and gear assembly.

We had a used one available.

Usually the gear fails because of excess heat.

Insure you have plenty of airflow around the engine.
