Ed was from the south right?
They were in Fresno. Not sure where he was born.Ed was from the south right?
No way the two of them would have gotten along.....
How the heck did he get that big old spread in Greenville SC?
We bought a lot of chemicals and equipment from Ed and Wanda. Attended training all over the country at Ed's seminars and conventions. He was part genius, part car salesman. He had vision of an professional cleaners industry.
Which at the time was just a group of rug suckers with little training or knowledge. It's only too bad he couldn't have been around for the age of information.
He would have loved you Mike! There again he would have probably taken Fred from you and started Ed's board.![]()
Ed had an innovative brilliance, but he was more than a bit the con artist and surely as unhinged as they come.
But I knew him well, and no one here would care for him one bit.
He sold a Cimex package with a couple of cases of LST, low surface tension gel like chemical that Keith Williams designed.Ed at one time was trying to sell stuff on the old ICS board. And Jim is right about him just not putting up with smartasses. I attended a class down in KC way back (1990?) when and met him. HE was the first to introduce the cimex and low moisture cleaning................NOT #####!
I won a low volume fogger that I still have to this day. And they still sell the same damn thing now unchanged for $600.
What did he die of Jim?
Ed was a fan of the Cimex, low moisture cleaning, and thinking outside the box!
I think he will refuse to rent a tuxedo to get the picture taken. Some people really do forget they are in the cleaning industry. Are they going to have a Jasper Wing
I hope they line it with fleece
WOW, I attended a class with Ed in 1993. Always enjoyed talking with him but never fully believed all his theories.Ed at one time was trying to sell stuff on the old ICS board. ICS. It was during the Mold is Gold era. He was trying to make a case for using the word "Mildew" instead of "Mold" so that insurance companies would cover it as a loss. I fought with him some. Later found out he was on his death bed and a nurse was typing for him.He came onto one of the old bulletin boards (ICS or Cleanfax) briefly. He was as big an asshole as Me and Boyle.
You flatter yourself. He came onto one of the old bulletin boards (ICS or Cleanfax) briefly. He was as big an asshole as Me and Boyle.
