Zee....I been taking a secret survey with quite a few members here and have to disagree wit you. ....
The MOST important person you need to satisfy IS your customer!

Yes, I agree..... But...There's that idea of being exceptionally anal about putting my name on my product. Therefore, if I satisfied my quality mindedness- my customer has no other choice but to be satisfied.

(and I need to qualify what I say: being sure not to over do it where the customer gets annoyed and/or pissed..like Wernerizing a bedroom for 3 hours)

Soooo then......YOR anal tendency IS more important than a satisfied customer. ....

Sorta dollar per minute thing. ....cuz they can do three jobs to yor one

It’s been about a year since I’ve gotten a good review.

My son has been on the truck by himself for a week and he’s gotten three!

I love love LOVE clear water rinse!

Done right I know it gives the best results and less resoiling.

HOWEVER, most cleaners, including MB members, can't do it right.

  • If you can't avoid wildly spraying furniture, walls and valuable,
  • If you can't accurately deliver the RIGHT amount of prespray to all the carpet,
Just dump emulsifier in your tank.

If he's not kidding we have done a horrible job with advice!

Bob, of course client expectations are most important and keep us in business.

However, any cleaner worth a grain of salt has much greater expectations then the client. Hopefully that's the case with most here.

Bingo Lee....that AND yor helper can't crb OR prespray ahead of you once yor hoses are in....or do they jus prespray all over their hoses....
What if a traffic area doesn't come out......you go back and prespray again?
Cuz yor wand pass has removed what little most of yous use....

Soooo, doing a great gob is a bad thing now???

Ms Smith wants clean carpet, I want the carpet clean AND all the spots gone she didn't think would come out. Giving the client more than they expect(your best) is a good thing.

as important as you believe the cleaning "pie" to be
PRICE is equally important to a customer....
you can do yor 17 steps till the cows come home
HOWEVER if Mrs Phifft thinks your price is too high
she'll call me evertime

You'd be hard pressed to keep up with us Bob.

I think the best compromise is a "low dose" of in tank or inline injected emulsifier that will adequate for areas NOT hit with the prespray.

An example is behind furniture after the center is presprayed.

I've heard tales of cleaners using trigger sprayers or wonky inconsistant pump ups, and then randomly hitting a room as if cleaning in the dark.

My Dad was a one step in tank cleaner back in the day, if it was extra dirty he'd 2 step and prespray a room with his wand before extracting.
No vacuuming either that was what the customer did.
He had lots of happy repeat customers.

But couple extra steps do make massive difference to the job and your rep if your competition doesn't

Lee.....I used the Genie Care Super Deluxe emulsifier. ....which we all remember Shawn Forsythe proclaimed it to be THE least rez leaving emulsifier going....and I would meter thru Dywers. ....

Perhaps it was the garage built Genies that made the difference. ..huh?

Question : if it' so wrong.....why do all the big multi truck guys use the process.....hth could they stay in business this long and have the great reputations they have?
I believe Chester must be the only Stanley guy that doesn't emulsify...if he's telling the truth. ...

hth could they stay in business this long and have the great reputations

cause they have large sustained ad budgets
'cause they're cheap and push enormous profit ad ons like deo and protectant
and 'cause 89.27% of custys don't know any better
