Encapsulate auto dealership

I've heard of a few guys on here doing bonnet/encap for restaurants, what about auto dealerships with their variety of synthetic and Dino based oils, oil from tarmac, etc. would this yield decent results if done as an interim method? They are looking to reduce costs, but i am very skeptical given the state of the carpet on doing anything but HWE.

You'll get a ton of Chavez's telling you to go for it.

The real cleaners will tell you to HWE the job, and after you prespray, you may want to scrub with your rotary (a 175 machine) before you rinse.

I use to clean carpet at a car dealership around 3 times a year. We got wonderfull results using a cimex and hot knife encap juice with the grey cimex pads.

Oil repels water and can wick up on drying. Having Oil spots is more of a reason why you should pad encap. I would pad encap and NOT lower the price because the dealership will be happier with the results.

we have 2 auto dealers we clean 2 times a year..easy jobs that clean up great..lots of drink spills the cimex makes short work of..releasitds for us

Been a busy past few days. I am looking to alternate between HWE and encapping. I will hafta try the pad/post bonnet and see how it fares. It's a lot of carpet at 7 different buildings. Thank you all

PS Back in the day we used HWE monthly on a dealership with very dense, light gray, glue down Olefin. Even after triple extracting, airmovers and post bonneting with cotton pads need I say what our problem was? WICKUPS! It gave new meaning to the customer lament, "It looks worse now than before you cleaned it!" Today I would be all over that job with a Cimex and make twice the money per hour.

We did 8,000sq/ft facility Saturday AM with 3-Cimex's and a couple of tech's vacuuming, they left around 8:15 and were back by here 11:00.

Sounds like wham bam thank you mam doesn't it? They called Monday and want their other 5-facilites in town scheduled to clean and a few more in surrounding towns. They were thrilled, said it had never looked better. :icon_cool:

They had initially asked for HWE, we explained the benefits of low moisture and they allowed us to Encap. It was just average soiling to begin with so it cleaned up easily, worked out well for us.

It can be done. Here's one I was on recently. Cimex, FiberPlus max, and Releasit Encap-Clean DS2. Took a little extra time scrubbing, because it was in such rough shape. Previous cleaner had done HWE on it the last time it was cleaned, and they said it looked terrible afterward. Everyone was impressed with the results with the Cimex/Releasit combo.

Not picking on Rick at all, but that particular picture shows some yellowing in the cleaned areas ... which can't be helped even with encapsulation cleaning some times. It's just not the best picture. In fact, I could make that carpet look just as good with a 175 prescrub and a HWE rinse.

The carpet actually looked better in real life than my phone/photos showed.
