Big Billy Yeadon says he would sleep with the new Dristar if he could. Here is an orientation video on the versatile little cutie:

I on the other hand am still a dyed-in-the-wool Cimex man for big commercial accounts. And Jeff Cutshall agrees.

PS Whatever high production machine you use it is essential get into encapsulation with commercial work.

We have 6-Cimex's and 2- Orbots for commercial carpet cleaning. In fact Monday all our machines will be out cleaning two projects. If I were I try them out and see what you like before you buy.

The cimex has treated me very well. I must say tho, I wanna add an Orbot to the mix. Every so often, a certain carpet would fair better from it.

I started out using a whittaker for encap then went to the cimex.

Cimex hands down for large commerical work. Very durable machine, absolutely nothing wrong with machine in the 7 yrs I've had it.

Holy shit cant i say anything without people putting a negative twist on it.

How dose this sound

Cimex has saved a lot of asses including mine.

Now if i said that i believe that the Cimex machine and encap chems have had a large part in revolutionizing the way carpet is being cleaned. Would you take that as an attack on HWE? because it is not.

How about Duplex and brush pro.

The Duplex is very good for Flotex floor coverings, also tile & grout when you don't want to/can't break out the big beast t/m.

Brush Pro ?? no idea.

If I were purchasing a new encap machine, it would be either the Cimex, or that beast of a machine PadPrick sells ... can't remember the stupid name he gave it.

I think the Cimex is cheaper, so it'd probably be the Cimex.

I WILL be in the market soon.

level loop commercial = Cimex

short saxony = CRB

Cimex out scrubs most out there, CRB will lift pile and remove soils that the cimex won't, so match the tool to the job at hand.

you can do jobs with a CRB you can't with a cimex!!!

The Brush Pro has a more powerful motor than the other CRBs shown. It is also tested to work in up to 2" deep water meaning you can use it to agitate wet tile floor or in a rug wash pit.

Scott are the 18 inch more effetient than the 20 inch because it states the 18 brush pro (dristar 18) is a 700 watt motor and the 20 inch style we have are 800 watt motors?

I spoke to Reg Rogers, VP of Sales at Carpet Cleaner America the other day. He said that the DriStar 14 is the Brush Pro 17 and the DriStar 18 is the Brush Pro 20. Dristar uses the brush dimensions and Interlink uses the machine dimensions to name them.

Dristar 14 has a 600 watt motor which was upgraded from 550 watt
Dristar 18 has a 700 watt motor which was upgraded from 600 watt

Both of the new motors are a completely different from the old ones. They are sealed and have more "torque" to start turning easier. The old motors didn't work as well as they thought they would on our 120V electricity.

He also said that the gear system is now a better setup, he said that the gears have been a weak spot in the past.

It appears that the 800 watt motors are the most powerful and the brushes spin faster. The more I look at CRB machines, the less I seem to know.
