After 15 years or so of carpeting cleaning I am moving out of my 3 car garage to a nice warehouse that I am having built. It should be done in about a month. I would like to epoxy the floors and am looking for input on what brand or any advice. I been looking and there are so many option ranging from $3-30 grand. I am OK with paying more if it is worth it. I just do know know. I did epoxy at my garage at my house it was just the cheap stuff you get at Lowes and it has held up pretty good for the last 20 years. What are your guys thoughts.

It is a 5000sq ft bldg with about 1000 sq ft office area.

I know Jon Don sell some epoxy anyone every use it?

We did it ourselves and it last 15 years or more before we had any issues. The only places where we did have problems were where we didn't do good enough job of removing the old paint.

It smelled awful dried really fast but took some time to cure. I think with all the hassles, if I were to do it again, I'd hire a pro and use the saved time to do what I do best.

if nothing is going to be all that different in the new building, I wouldn't spend $30 G's

don't know a thing about it.
If private labeled though, they'd have to convince me why I can't find something comparable or better from commercial coating manufactures for le$$

It's been so long I don't remember but it was sold by Sherwin Williams.

Their top one, we didn't add any flakes or grit but in hindsight wish we would have in the garage where the trucks parked. It would have helped in the rain and snow when it drips off the vans and onto the floor.

Epoxy holds up better when the concrete is properly prepped. Shot blasting is best to reach the ideal CSP3 profile for the epoxy to adhere properly so it doesn't chip. You can reach out to David Belliveau with CleanPro Supply in Rochester NY. He teaches epoxy classes and does a lot of concrete prep for other epoxy contractors. He'd have all the answers to any questions you have on do's and don'ts.

We scrubbed it and pressure washing and then etched it with muriatic acid.

I bet the blasting would have helped it adhere better to the previously painted area.
