Phillipino's don't let anything go to waste. My ex mother inlaw was from the Phillipines. When she was visiting once, my wife served up a red snapper that I had caught. Nice big yellow eyes. My mother inlaw takes a piece of bread, scoops out an eye, dips it in pastis and eats it. Says that's the best part of the fish. Here, we cut off the whole head and throw it away.
