I just wondered if anyone else had 2 inch Evolution Wands

From U.S. Products.

We have 2 of them that we have been using for 6 months now.

I put feather touch valves on them, changed the jetting to 6

11015's (.09 total) and put Greenie's Hybrid glides on them.

The 16 inch pass is a real time saver, but its hard to get in tight

spots. It is by far the lightest wand I have ever used, almost

too light. Its also a straight wand so if your using an "s" bend

it takes awhile to get used too. It also dries carpets real fast.

The jet angle is perfect and they are very close to the carpet.

The real bad thing about them is they look like crap really quick

because they are black powder coated. This is just for your info

in case any one is thinking about purchasing one.

The one I tested had a slot glide and chattered like mad.

I imagine a hole glide would be the fix but that head sure flexed a lot under my V's load.

Thanks Kevin, I've been wondering about this wand, but in the smaller size, 10" I think.

Ooroo,

I owned the Evo 16 x 2 inch and loved it.

But I used a Greenhorn 14 x 2 and it was way better...no comparison.

Greenhorn looks better, gets to the edge better, doesn't drip (you can put check valves on anything) and the 14 inch head gets into tight areas better and still saves time.
Oh, and you can get under stuff better because of the bend and it still leave the carpet just as dry ...I think because of the jet angle.

And yes the black plastic on the evo looks like hell after a few months.

I've got one I'm gonna "fix" some day, took it in on partial trade on a Greenhorn. The value in this tool is the 16" wide head, but the jets only cover 14" of it, that and it could use some splash guards, why on earth USP didn't mold in some real guards I'll never know, maybe Janitors don't need em on commercial? And yes that black plastic slot glide is atrocious, teflon is waaaay better.

I have one and did the same mods. 1.5 jets and green glide. i like the wand but it is the only 2" wand I have ever used so I dont have anything to compare it to except a bunch of 1.5" ones.
