How to delete your Facebook search history!

We all know (or should know) that Facebook tries to show us ads based on our own searches...well, what if you could delete that information?

Well, you can and here's how...

To clear past searches, log in to Facebook and go to your Timeline image (click on your name at top of page). Click on the Activity Log button to the upper right (should appear in your banner). The Activity Log is where Facebook tracks your actions across the service.

On the left column of the Activity Log, under Photos, Likes and Comments, click on the More link. Then scroll down and click on the Search link. You'll see a list of every Facebook search you've ever made, organized by date.

You can clear searches individually by clicking the crossed-circle icon on the right.

To clear every search, click on the Clear Searches link located at the top-right of the list. A pop-up box will ask you to confirm the request. Click the Clear Searches button. Your search history should now be cleared. Simple!

So does that get rid of ads altogether? Or just go back to random ones?

it doesn't get rid of ads...just those annoying "follow me" ads. The ones that seem to creep after you when you surf.
