This time of year not a day goes by where somebody doesn't ask who's the best, cheapest or quickest carpet cleaner in town... and usually my name comes up at least 10 times...

NO, only customers he wouldn't want anyway would be put off.

This was the PERFECT response.
Think I'll call Carpet Cops, I hear he is fantastic. 😉

Did you read Susie Youngs, does not OVER CHARGE. Using Mike's joking words. 😮

This has been keenly interesting.
Can you also post a picture of yourself?

That feller is the forestry fire chief for Bridgeport California where my cabin is located..

Fate brought us together at a bar in the Denver airport and is going to lead to some interesting development for our little one-horse town..

Carpet cops is a part owner of Fox truck mounts and has been in cahoot with magic wand for years.
Those Fox truckmounts are a different design. You need to get them on here to give more details about them

I understand your clients know you and trust you, they know you're joking.

However other prospects have no clue about you. I'd want their first impression to be that of a knowledgeable seasoned professional. I'd save the joking for onsite once they get to know you, not on social media.

It's your business, handle how ever you like, no matter how wrong you are! 😉

Your multi trucker mindset to make up for your uncarismatic chimps is fascinating...

While a clown here, I am professional with clients.

It's purely a professional relationship, no folksy joking or stories. I am not friends with them, nor do they chose to be friends with me.

Personally I don't care for service technicians that have too much personality. I want respectful, knowledgeable and professional. Do your work, do it well, get the fook out of my house. 😉

My pest control guy just left. He’s a really nice, humble and thorough guy, and He never fails to annoy the living hell out of me. I just want him to say hello, spray and leave. He wants to know all about my kids and grandchildren and stand in my den for an hour talking.

We had one at the shop like that. I always tried to keep busy and not make eye contact. It rarely worked, he always stayed and talked.

What is wrong with these guys? If people don't engage with you, just do your work and get out. We're not friends, not buddies, I don't want to know about your life and I promise I won't share with you mine.

The accountant, insurance man, lease agent or banker I didn't mind talking to. We had a relationship, things in common, a few extra catching up minutes didn't bother me...much. 🙂

I've never hung out with any of the service people that come to our home.

We do offer them Gatorade or water, tip them so they can buy lunch...away from my house...without me! 🤭

I pretty much live by that. We're not friends, we're not buddies. Do you work, do it well, don't call me, I'll call you again when I need you.

Here's $20.00 GET the f-o-o-k out...uhh now! 🙂
