I understand your clients know you and trust you, they know you're joking.
However other prospects have no clue about you. I'd want their first impression to be that of a knowledgeable seasoned professional. I'd save the joking for onsite once they get to know you, not on social media.

It's purely a professional relationship, no folksy joking or stories. I am not friends with them, nor do they chose to be friends with me.
Personally I don't care for service technicians that have too much personality. I want respectful, knowledgeable and professional. Do your work, do it well, get the fook out of my house.

My pest control guy just left. He’s a really nice, humble and thorough guy, and He never fails to annoy the living hell out of me. I just want him to say hello, spray and leave. He wants to know all about my kids and grandchildren and stand in my den for an hour talking.

We had one at the shop like that. I always tried to keep busy and not make eye contact. It rarely worked, he always stayed and talked.
What is wrong with these guys? If people don't engage with you, just do your work and get out. We're not friends, not buddies, I don't want to know about your life and I promise I won't share with you mine.
The accountant, insurance man, lease agent or banker I didn't mind talking to. We had a relationship, things in common, a few extra catching up minutes didn't bother me...much.

I've never hung out with any of the service people that come to our home.
We do offer them Gatorade or water, tip them so they can buy lunch...away from my house...without me!
