Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum before wetting. It disperses with water and can make a small spot into a large one. Filtration spotters work well on it along with dry solvent gels.
I have a job on Monday for one of my regular customers who suffered a break in. Police got fingerprint powder all over the white carpet. Customer tried to clean with Rolex and smeared it all over the place. Customer will have it replaced on her insurance claim if I can't clean it. Any ideas?

Bridgepoint Filter worked best for me. Use a General Spotter first then rinse well then
use the Filter.
Vacuum with the cuff of your TM.
An upright vacuum could be a super spreader.
