Fittings help

So I been saving my old hose and have decided to use it for hose for my pressure washers that I got at my house.

The problem I am having its trying to find the fitting that will make it fit my 1/4 hose thread to whatever a hose thread is on a pressure washer. I tired ordering a few different fitting but I do not know the difference in thread type and all the lingo.

Can some help me out and give me some links to get this done?

I appreciate it.

I thought this would be an easy project but it is turning out harder than I thought.

You can take the ends to ace hardware and figure out the difference. They have a board with all the firtings. You can digure out if its MIP or whatever.you can also probably get all the fittings you need to make it work.

I don't have any links for you but it should be simple. Unscrew your quick connects which are closed fittings and replace with 1/4 inch open fittings that are available at home depot or any other hardware store that sells pressure washers. They are available in both male and female.

seems like you would just need a 1/4 NPT/F to 3/8 NPT/M

then the 3/8 in QDs

It's NPT (national pipe thread)

Pressure washer fittings are same NPT
Common size are 1/4 and 3/8.

if your solution lines have 1/4" male ends, you need a pressure washer quick disconnects (don't know the technical name and don't feel like googling)
But you need QD set with 1/4" female NPT end

Seems like it would be that easy but what mess me up is the NPT and MIP and think there is a 3rd one too.

is your pressure washer a "homer homeowner" type where hi-presser line screws on, or the larger type with QDs? (quick disconnects)

Find a local hydraulic shop and take everything with you.
They will set it up which ever way you want and probably give you the best advice.
