In the real world.... most cleaners will carry in there first 50 to 75 ft of hoses..after that everything else will lay on the ground....unless you are rolling up every length of hose you got and carrying it back to the truck sooner or later that little push button will get crap down in it....6 months in the trenches should be a good enough time for a decent test on these.....send me a few Olsen...I will pay you for them and put them thru a true carpet cleaners abuse test.....
My hoses rotate around quite a bit because if we dual wand they never go back the way they came off & with my reducer I made I can use any section that comes off first. So I try to take good care of all hose since any section could go into the house. Also a very large percentage of our clients have Concrete Drives & Sidewalks so we have less crud issues even after 3.5 yrs of use.
I will definitely admit I don't abuse any of my equipment so I am not a good test for abuse testing but on the other side if something doesn't hold up with me using it that doesn't show very good for the item in question.
I haven't actually seen any of the new Flash Cuffs but if the button is what it looks like, it may self clean somewhat. I will know more when I try them out. Then I will decide on replacing all on truck or just a few when I see them.

Joe just sent me the latest 2.5 swivel cuffs. They stay together and swivel, just like he said they would. !gotcha!
Ron do they lock now & also seem like they will in the future mine locked at first but after use began to fall apart when no vac was present especially while reeling in. I tried the electrical tape but it didn't last that long & was very sticky so I found small rolls of Gorilla Tape which works fairly well. I also have a few extra brand new cuffs I may never use if Flash Cuffs live up to advertising.
I have purchased enough of the ones with issue so now I will try a different style but I do realize I may be back to the ones I have been using.
