we've been running a Powermatic about the same length of time as you, Russ.
Bought my first one about 12 years ago.
We use a 09 flow glided Ti wand now.
Before we got our Ti a few years ago, we carried and used several wands.
Two AW29 (a 2 jet S bend) one with 06 flow and one jetted with 04 flow for light soil speedy quick dry res.
The SW wand was used for rat natzties.
Personally, i don't don't care for a straight wand.
The AW29s were also easier to push so that's the one I always grabbed.
The other things that bothered me about the SW wand;
getting burnt on that darn steel line from valve to jets.
jet distortion on some cut piles
Never being able to keep the Paraplate valve from leaking out of the trigger stem. Seems like I couldn't get more than a few weeks on a rebuild before it started leaking from there.
Our Ti wand is pretty much the only wand we use now.
Once we got a
glide to make it pushable, then the check valves to to stop those darn dribbles/drips from the jets, I like it MUCH better.
The 2" tube helps with flow and recovery and the low profile is nice too.
The wand ain't for everybody I guess.
And it costs a small fortune.
So if you consider buying one, I'd recommend you take one for a test drive first.
