Flowers and beetles

A Client gets Valentine flowers and discovers that they are full of bugs. Thru her internet research, she is convinced that the bugs are actually carpet beetles, and she wants to know if she should have the bug guys out before or after cleaning. She claims they are everywhere, so she is spraying the entire home.
First, do you think they are indeed carpet beetles, and second, would you spray or clean first?

Well, if they are indeed carpet beetles, they won't last long in a synthetic carpet. They can only survive in wool carpet. They can't eat synthetic fiber.

Anyway, pest control operators recommend that the carpet be cleaned first, then sprayed.

My humbel opinion... have them spray, make sure they have done a good job of killing the little bastards and then go in and clean up, removing their chems in the cleaning process.
