For those that encap

Would you invest in the prochem or brushpro unit for encapsulation cleaning? We are starting to offer this cleaning method to our commercial accounts and restaraunts now and am stuck on which machine to buy.

No on the prochem procaps. I have one and only use it for prescrubing , I've tried encaping with it several time with no success.

Seriously reconsider using a SHAMPOO method in a restuarant.

The CRB machines are only good for a lite freshen up appearance in lightly used hallways.


Don't buy into internet sensations about any dirt actually being removed by this method.

I agree. We are 90% HWE but when endcapping is needed we use a Cimex.

I think the CRB are actually better on pile carpet and at their worst on CGD. Not sufficent weight to be aggressive enough to get the desired results.

I'd try a 175, OP or Cimex and you'll get much better results.

I had a crew helping me with with a 30,000 sq ft school last week and we had both style of CRB running. They liked the BrushPro a lot better because of the bigger brushes and much larger collection trays. The carpet we cleaned was in good shape and wouldnt use the CRB on anything other than lightly soiled carpet. I also had a portable running ahead of the crb for stain removal and heavy traffic areas. I used my TM for the heavy used area.

We got it all done in one day for a record setting day for my company. Our client just called and loved the work, so they can do good job, but it cant be dirty carpet

Thanks for the advise. We are looking at getting one mainly for doctors offices and such to throw in with maintenance cleaning packages. It was a hell of a lot easier and quicker then HWE for sure. I will look into the Cimex as well now.

I can answer this question pretty easy. I have a brush pro, and a cimex. I would never, I mean never use the brush pro to encap a carpet. I use it for doing the edges and places the cimex wont reach. For the price of a brush pro machine the cimex is not much more.

the BrushPro removes soil with the trays attached, whereas the Cimex grinds it in!!! :shock:

I used both on a 30k sqft monthly and the Brush Pro's appearence lasted longer than the cimex.

Daniel you're amazing.........I've never met anyone that could screw up cleaning with a Cimex, until now!



Seriously though, the Cimex isn't a vacuum and it does a better job of "grinding it in" but isn't that what you want to do with encap solutions?

It seems odd that the Brush Pro using less chem stayed cleaner than the Cimex with shower feed. Who's chem were you using? Could it have been the chemical choice?
