I make all my money from commercial, it's guaranteed income EVERY month.
So with residential its just butter on my bread, I do at least 3 houses a day, many of them are repeat cust. that call every 2/3 months I NEVER spend more than 30 mins on a house as long as there is no Tile or Upholstery added on to clean.
I charge a $75 minimum and that gets them 3 areas, $18 per area after that, no furniture moved, if room is empty it goes up to 25 per area.
So instead of spending an extra 30/40 minutes measuring every sqft I'm out the door with my money heading to the next job.
On most of my jobs I am making +.40 per sqft due to the amount of furniture keeping me from cleaning MOST of the carpet.
Plus, my expenses are so incredibly low it doesn't hurt me to do a big room for the same price as a smaller one.
