Transit or Promaster 3500. Who’s used or owned both, did you prefer one over the other? Any cons to either?

I'm a ram truck guy, and wouldnt drive a ford diesel for a million bucks. But I have driven in both Van's and prefer the transit. The ecoboost engines are impressive, and the options on the transit make it very versatile.

I have been in a Promaster 2500 for 2 weeks. Easy to drive and I love the high top.
Was considerably cheaper than transit.

Friend has put 85,000 miles under 3 yrs. Drives it like he stole it. And it's been fine.

My mechanic buddy who's almost never wrong when it comes to things mechanical, said he'd divorce me if I bought a Ram Van

The interlink guys were saying pretty much the same thing. What issues are promasters having?

What kind of brake problems? Just pads? That doesn’t seem like a problem to me.

Friend carries more than I do
TCS Chief 2 100 gal fresh #4 Little Giant.
All the tools you could need.

I moved my Judson TNT #3 Heater and 50 gal fresh. All the tools.

What's the big complaint about Ram??

I also heard the same BS this and that about Transit too.

There just Van's. Load them up and make money. Maintain them.

I have owned all the big brands at some point. They needed maintenance repairs

the bogey I've had on my transit was the dual mass flywheel went at 40k, apparently normally goes around 150k..

admittedly it got a workout the week before on a steep driveway that had a muzza of a hairpin at the steepest point
