Ford van question

Do all ford vans have this hump sticking out of the side? Or what's the reason for the cover? E250 extended this is where my waste tank needs to be. My chevys don't have this

Not sure theres vents and metal placard holders on that out side. So I could take it off and it would save some space

Every waste tank I've had was designed to work with filler necks.

Shouldn't be a problem
