I bought one.

Hated it

The Sumbich wouldn’t let me return it, so I got lucky and either traded it or sold it. I can’t remember

I had one years and years ago.
No idea where it went and I don’t care.

With your Vortex?

Big Jimbo loved his.. Wasn't Mytee the originators of the swivel?

I mean had PMF shitty swivel stair tool that I currently use.. But none the less.. Any of the ol' geezers care to chime in on who made the first swivel wand?

My face is still wet from the one and only time I used it on a staircase and the jets perfectly aligned with the bullnose and back splashed all over me

Aren't they using die cast metal on their new wands? WTH uses die cast for an industrial tool?

:headscratch:

cast metals/tools are used in all types of industries
I thought that was a cheap weak metal. With aluminum, SS, and titanium options out there...it seems like a cheap move

Or maybe I just don't understand what cast metal is

I think you are thinking pot metal or similar....casting* is just a process where the molten metal is put into different types of molds.......like when they made your car's engine

Not as strong as forged or milled billet but fine for things like this

The wand head in the OP is cast aluminum

*you can have poor casting quality/materials
