Nothing to worry about its just carpet. Clean it the same way you clean all the other carpet. It can hold a lot of soil so vacuum slow and do extra dry passes.

It wears and stains like all other carpet so communication through prequalifying is going to be your best friend. Most of the customer really judge us off other factors and cleaning is a small part of it. So sell the sizzle.

It is typically made with much finer denier individual fibers to give it a very soft feel. Thus it can be easily "flared" with close high pressure jets

lower pressure..extra dry strokes..and in my experience better results and dry times WITHOUT a glide........YMMV

use a solvent protector. any danger will be long gone before the baby gets there and it will leave the carpet soft instead of crunchy like water based protectors. it will make your next cleaning much easier when sucking formula vomit out of it.

Fred H had a really good question, How about agitation?

Common sence tells me that the longer fiber is likely to get hung up in a rake. 2 jet wand at 700psi ? GOOD GAWD!! we will keep it between 250-300, k

There is one walk in closet that has a nasty traffic lane up the middle of it. I was going to rotovac it with the glided head.

Steve,
Only thing I have on hand is H2O based : FourGuard

You should clean it like you clean any other carpets. Agitation is great if its called for it, raking the modern shag is not a problem either. Like all the other carpets it will wear out and for heavy traffic areas it will be more obvious. Just talk to them about what you are going to do and talk about how and why carpets wear. Been cleaning that type of carpet for 15 years almost and never had an issue.. its all about confidence and if you don't have it the customer will smell that out and question EVERYTHING you do.

Most of it doesn't need aggitation, just a few higher traffic areas and possibly the filter liines.

He's good, I'm good, and will Solo the job this Friday. Carpets, Rug, Sectional and 1 room Restretch.

15yrs you ever get the willies in yur belly : )

Do not mistake Frieze for "shag", especially the shag you remember from years past. The similarity is an optical illusion.

Frieze is a cut pile carpet.

Lee is right, low pressure. Be careful with agitation, especially rotary agitation. The fibers can lose twist, blossom, bloom or whatever description you like. Soft brush may help work in your prespray. No need for grooming following the cleaning.

Thanks Scott!
I was going to pamper it with a brush where needed. I wondered about a rotary and will now leave the Roto in the truck,
appriciate, will heed the advice.

We have a poly Frieze carpet in my sons room, it blows. It has such bad resiliency(?), the area we stand in to change him has two small circles of damage from our feet. Just wont stand up anymore. Traffic lanes never go away.

Like others said, I'd clean it as normal.

Wow do any of you fooken clowns clean carpet? California berber is the only style of that carpet to watch out for. You can blast the shit out that stuff and pre scrub it also. I clean the stuff at least three times a week plus its in my home. Pre vac if u want to get your top 25 ranking. Pre spray with cobbs powermax. Agitate with you POS Hruby. Rinse with a Twand and Jeff Lydons perfectly fitted glide. Rinse with clean water. A 56 Blower helps. Dry stroke needed if you are a ex-Vortec owner currently running a 33 Blower. Have a box of tissues close by if you and your helper/boyfriend just broke up.

you have never cleaned frieze carpet??? thats probably about the most common carpet nowadays. if its a polyester frieze I highly recommend using a CRB machine or 175. I have carpet similar to that in my own house. its a poly frieze, builder put it in. just cleaned it with flex w/citrasolve. it came out excellent and seems to not be resoiling as fast. although its too soon to tell on that.

Steve,
I admit I Have not, so go easy on me I'm Virgin.

You are dead on, the builder did put it in, same guy I am doing the Job for's personal house.

Thanks for the input, 175 is something we may consider down the road once the ball rolls a little further.

Raining like crazy here but Customer tipped $50.00

Went with Matrix Grand Slam and All Fiber Rinse, light aggitation with a soft brush took care of the Work Boot Closet. Same thing for the Rugs

3 rooms, 2 walk in closets, set of stairs, 1 rust spot, Medium sectional sofa and 4 Olefin Rugs. Couldn't catch the dog for an extra $25, lol

Thanks for the booster guys/gals
