Has anyone seen fringe partly braided like this. It's totally random. I'm wondering if the owner did it.

This guy brought in 2 totally different rugs that both have some of the fringe braided, some not. Is it just not a well made rug? A new weaver maybe?

I always figured it was just a village style???

Most likely it was all braided at one time but some may have come undone as the knots have worn or it's been loosened from use.

I don't know David, the straight ones don't look like they were ever braided.They are very straight but I guess they could have been.
