Will something like this work for a Dodge? 98 with fuel pump in the tank.

Been running off marine 12gal and ready to tap to van.

What are you opinions on this?

I hope it isn't what it looks like.

I see a Y, and I'm not sure what is being done for sure. However a modern FI system with fuel pump inside the tank is HIGH pressure and can't be tapped in this manner.

Buy a fuel tap.

When I got my 06 I bought a fuel tap.

Sweet, and very professional. It even came with a sticker to put on the door jam alerting of a fuel tap.

In a roll over there is a flapper to keep the fuel from dumping out.

Worth he $250 or so it cost.

Yes it can be done, but really a fuel tap is the way to go.

Tap in to the fuel fill line (between the tank and the cap) and run the hose down in to the tank. There is no roll over protection, and it will probably interfere with filling the tank. (Premature shut off)

Get the tap

Mine is from Powerclean, but it eliminates the rollover valve, and it takes FOREVER to fill the tank. It uses a dip tube into the tank. I think 06's and newer can be ordered with a factory tap at the fuel tank.

Yeah, I still wonder who accepts the responsibility for disabling a safety device on the fuel system of those vehicles. Those types of fuel taps definitely render the roll-over fuel valve useless.

You'd best not be tapping into a high pressure fuel line to run to a TM...

Does the Department of Homeland Security know about you? Sounds like someone's building a bomb....
