I got a guy over in Watsonville (strawberries and lettuce) who can fix ANTHING.



ANYTHING.


fabricates
plumbing
electrical
welding

you name it.

Huge barn full of sheet/plate metal and pipe of every possible dimension.


works cheap too.


When my drive shaft off my Vortex PTO popped at the U joint he created a whole new shaft and joint and had me back on the road in under 12 hours.


When my 6008 took a dump, they yanked and replaced it a day.






and no, they don't have websites or phone book listings.


ask the right person to find one and keep them on speed dial.

My in law was a farmer and they sure know how to fix everything mechanical.

They had to. No mechanic close by. During the season they need to be able to get everything to work, no matter what. These people are just amazing.

And they need to be able to improvise. Sometime it is quite entertaining to see the contraptions they come up with to solve problems. Quite ingenious.

My uncle grew up as farmer in Iowa, he can fix, repair and build anything. He's retired form selling Bobcats, he was a mechanic but found out he could sell the heck out of them. Not salesman pushy type but he knew the machines inside and out plus could trouble shoot any other large equipment they were having problems with.

Even retired he's always too busy helping other to help here.

I was always amazed at what my Dad and Grandfather could fix. The depression created a generation of people in this country that were amazing.

It's all I can do to turn on my computer ...

Yea my father could frame up, build, pour a drive, repair all kinds a stuff.

I can't even fix a boloney sandwich....ummmm no offense Porksnot.
