I received the Armature noon on Thursday... A simple replacement (so simple Marty could do it)... I still haven't received the email regarding turning up the torque speed... I does work better and seems to better power with the Brush Head while using it with my portable... I'll hold off using it with my TM until I Turn up the Torque on it....

A big thank you to Nick L. and Mike (service manager) from Rotovac getting me taking care of...

Here is the pic of the New and Old Armature.... I was fortunate that I didn't need to use a bearing puller to remove the bearings...

So I opened it up to check the setting, it was at about 4 o'clock... I never touched it before... I'll put it to the 3 o'clock position...

Thanks again for the help!

I'd it with it for me to get a BH? I do a lot CGD, but none of it is really ever that bad. I do lots of regular encapping and just the occasional hwe on it.

I'd stick with what your doing... The brush head does work wonders on the pretty bad residential carpets I run into... I haven't had good luck with it on patterned carpet tiles, it bounced too much and actually left streaks... On regular CGD it worked well for me, as it was totally trashed CGD made it look 100times better...

I do love the BH for digging out the crud and giving more oomph on Residential.....

Alright, motor started bogging down again to the point it stopped a few times... I smelt the burning smell like the last time... I looked at the Armature through the carbon brush hole and it seems to have marring on it... Carbon brushes still got life left on them... I was using my TM when it started happening.... I've never had a problem with any of my portable cleaning jobs.... It really seems like the Brush Head should only be a portable only for the 360i... I'm convinced that the Brush Head is a no-go for me anymore with TM use... I've never had a problem with my 360i before using the Brush Head...

I have no doubt the 360XL with a Brush Head could handle with TM use because of the bigger motor... Not sure about upgrading to the XL because I don't think my portable would recover well with the bigger slots...?

There is a current adjustment on the electronic speed control to allow more power for the brush.

Is that what you are talking about @Larry Cobb ?

If it's my motor and controls I would think Rotovac would have mentioned that my controls are old... Both Nick and Mike at Rotovac said they sold thousands of machines without problems... Mike (service manager) said there hasn't been any changes done to the speed controls or board throughout the years.... Like I've said before, there wasn't any problems with the regular 3 swoop head...

Cracked armature?

It will run but not full power.
Have an electrical motor guy look at it.

Nate, never heard of this happening with a 360i before... Give Mike a call at rotovac. He will help diagnose.
