I’ve got a buddy that bought two whole sets and regretted it right away for the same exact reasons stated.

I was excited about them being available, but of course with everything mytee I give it a few months before I feel comfortable buying or trying it out for myself. Let the R&D dept (other cleaners) give it a good testing lol.

Also what’s up guys? I’ve got to try and post here more often... FB just makes it so easy though...

Let’s hug.

I'm more than interested in your announcement to day that you are taking a real job.

Would you care to share more on why?

Steady income?
Benefits?
No stress?

How stable is this Glass Renue company?
Will they grow and move to Mexico?
Can you grow within the company?

So I’ve known the owner of GlassRenu for a couple of years now, found them after searching for a viable solution after one of my cousins scratched up a ton of glass when I sent him out to go clean them. Ran a razor over all the scratchable side of tempered glass... GlassRenu has a dry grinding/polishing system that has no glass distortion for deep scratches and hard water danage.

They called me to clean the office carpet for early December and the owner was talking to me about how they have and are growing. I already knew they went global, but now they have master distributors setup overseas and that comes with many many more distributors. Then he started to talk about how they needed to hire for three positions by the end of the year, a trainer, a salesman, and a warehouse Shipping dude. I was thinking I might know of a few people interested until I heard what was entailed in the warehouse manager position. And the money is right. Steady salary income, health benefits, so much less stress dealing not dealing with trying to schedule and receive payment from national maintenance companies jobs.

And they are located not even a 1/4 mile away from my house. I can walk to work. I’ll probably ride my bicycle.

Also GlassRenu has been around about a decade. Cody Thomas (the owner) is both the inventor and engineer of the system, there’s nothing quite like it either.

I'll take a stab...

What took you so long to move away from national maintenance contract work?

I thought only :numfi:s and illegals were desperate enough to work those wages

Oh man. It did take me a while. At first the money was good, cleaning most of the Men’s Wearhouses and other smaller retail shops in the greater Bay Area. Then they started tacking on farther out jobs, and I did make up the cost of doing it with the volume they provided. But THEN they started cutting the payouts because the corporate entities they had contracts with were searching for cheaper vendors. So basically I was cleaning them for almost half of what I had originally accepted but they also added more stores to clean... and when I pushed back a bit with not wanting to accept certain locations due to logistical and money reasons they forced me to do it by threatening to take everything away. That happened a couple of months ago and I wish I was able at the time to drop them then. Since then I was really looking into extricating myself away from them but needed to fill the gap that would have been left.

This new opportunity kinda fell in my lap right at the perfect moment and made my decision for me. Well I did pray and talk it over with my wife first of course.

Steve, you never went after resi work?

I do resi work, and I was going to ramp up and do more marketing for resi in my area, until this opportunity presented itself.

With how many cleaners are in my area and I was having cold feet about spending marketing money I was excited when I made this decision

@Tom Forsythe told me yesterday that he thinks the SEC has gotten weaker this year. I think an all SEC championship game counters that argument. Of course, talking about the sport of hugging.
