I have my old machine I'm trying to sell and feel its more valuable to part it out than to sell it as a complete machine. It's complete and runs. Its all stainless steel, 5.9 blower, Nissan a15 engine, recovery tank and parts that guys with this machine might want. I'm getting tired of it taking up space. What would you do?

A little patience.
Unless they are a total bargain, they usually take some time to sell. Especially in winter.
You can always part it out if it will bring more money. Be more time consuming though.

If space is a requirement paring it doesn't sound like your gonna sell but a few parts then junk the rest.

Sell the unit gets some back up cash. If you have a porty already you don't need a back u. Your SS shouldn't have major problem :hopeless::hopeless::hopeless:

Even if our equipment is top notch, grandma could T-bone the shit out of any one of us at any time. HOw long would it take to get things back together and how much money would we lose if that happened during busy season?

The box truck would just be to get it there, then you could swap it out. I had it put into the truck after my old ford E100 wore out and then I drove it to a service shop to have the truck worked on and it's been sitting there ever since. I haven't seen it in 5 years but I'm sure it's in good shape. (the tm not the truck.)

Do some checking on it. If you like to spend a lot of time tinkering or fixing it go ahead and buy it. I much prefer just turning on a machine and having it work without complications.

What can I find at these prices that will provide trouble free performance?

I've got an 03 Genesis, running, sitting in my shop, and an 02 Genesis for parts. And a '92 Powermatic, and a '95 Performer 405 Cat, and an 2010 Blueline Thermalwave Vortec. Plenty of backups. That SS genesis is a hell of a machine.

What are you running now? Keep it if you have the room. I tried selling mine to Guaranteed Cleaning so they could rebuild and sell, but I think they wanted me to pay them to take it.

Aren't the Wisconsin motors really hard to find parts for nowadays? We got rid of our Steam Action because of that reason.
