Glided Ti Wand.....What Jets??

What size jets are you running in your glided Ti wand with extenders?I need more flow. I can't read them well, but I believe mine are 303SS?? Got them from Green about 4 years ago.

that was the first movement to higher flow jets, next came Mike's suggestion 110 02 and for the brave who have high heat potential...the 03s and 04s all the way across.

I run 11003 ss all the way across, switched from 02s a year ago. If you do a bucket test you will see there isn't much difference between 02s and 03s but it gets the heat and flow to the wand a little faster. Dry times don't seem to be affected with the higher flow on a glided wand, still excellent.

This what I run and it works great less water,cleans fantastic and more heat with a heat exchanger.....and less over spray.

If you are using and flushing with more water then there is a difference provided your HX can keep up. I am trying to thouroughly flush out all my prespray with just water so the more I can use the faster I can move. But I do like your 9 flow setup.

How about this for a 13 flow:

Or for an 18 flow that I have now with all 03s:

I don't care how much water I have to use. Water is my primary cleaning agent and is the least expensive part of my business costs.

I don't agree with Mr Pennington here... I don't have a Ti wand but my 14" Greenhorn is running with 5 11004 that's 20flow and it does make a big difference. I don't have to do that many keyed passes, just do one slower keyed stroke and I flush better. Heat is not an issue with running a fire breathing diesel burner.

I won't argue the details of high flow, I know better, probbaly have 500 cleaners that are DOUBLING the jet size they started with and getting DRIER carpets in the process.

I am still a fan of the same jet size ALL the way across the wand, for a uniform even path of water. The Glide makes the vacuum uniform, I also want the water impact, rinsing, and heat uniform.

Overspray should not be affected when going from a 110 01 to a 110 02, they are both 110 degree fan at 500 psi.

Don't crusify me!! I didn't look at the numbers on the end. I was in a hurry, and me eyes are not what they used to be.

well....since your 110 015s are 4 years old, they are "a bit" larger in diameter than the 015 they started out as.

So.....if you need more flow. Skip the 02 and move to 03s.

I hate, to go against the Greenie/Mellon Head bulletin board syndicate, but in my opinion, you don't want 110 degree jets all the way across with either a GreenBean wand or a Titanium wand. I have both, but choose to run my Titaniums on a daily basis. Both wands will overspray a significant amount outside the wand head if you have 110's on the outside jets. If you routinely do multiple dry passes, then this is no big deal, but if you don't, then the overspray is an issue.

I normally don't do dry passes. May be I can get away with it because I have a V. I run my jet configurations like this:

8002 9502 11002 11002 9502 8002

The 80's keep the overspray down and the two inside 110's will fill the gap around the pipe head.

You are not going against me, just physics.

If you are happy with it, fine.

but it is putting more water down per linear inch on the outside of the wand, same goes for pressure strike.

the only arguement i see FOR the recommendation, is for guys who don't do a dedicated dry pass.

If you do a dry pass, then I would stay with the same jet all the way across.

Also: please note that the above numbers ONLY apply to wands with Jet Extenders.

Greenie...Would you say 500psi on the Greenhorn with the standard jet that it came with? Mine still seems to be streaking at 700 psi....

green horn 11004 all the way, Ti 11003 all the way with extenders I don't have an overspray problem.
Ti maintains 200 - 220 depending on how full the water tank is, GH 195 - 215 atw. Cleans like a big dog!

I know the 80 95 110 jet stagger wasn't YOUR idea, so I won't judge you for it.

But i will give good advice in the mean time to the other 999 cleaners reading this thread this week.

You ready for some 2.5" hose for your Vortex yet, or still sucking through a McDonalds straw and skipping dry strokes?

I was told to use short jet extenders and 110 jets on my glided 4 jet prochem wand. I tried several different setups from long jet extenders to short ones with different jet configurations and I got the best result with 80 degree jets on the outside with 95's on the inside with short check valve jet extenders. The spray is right to the edge with no overspray and has good even coverage all the way accross. I have 1.5 flow jets and I am going to bump the flow up to 02 jets.
