Have you ever noticed on your own GMC van how quickly the turn signal lights go out?? Or be driving down the highway and meet another Chevy/GMC truck with the amber turn signal lights out on one side?? The bulbs that GMC uses are made in Mexico....Have you ever tried to change out one of these puppies? Talk about an effort in futility....once you finally get the bulb out, good luck in getting it back in correctly.....I finally re-enforced mine with some of that 200 MPH duct tape.....holds pretty well!

On my 03 Chevy Express which I assume has the same lights, you stick a flat head screwdriver and flip the light cover forward from the side, it hinges at the front. Presto, there's the bulb. The lights burn out more often because they're on whenever you drive.
