What product, and procedure do you use to descale Mark? I've been told that aluminum fresh tanks play a big role in scale issues, especially in areas with hard water. Something about how the water reacts with the aluminum. My new van has a poly fresh water pond. Cleanco 47....... Really like it so far.... Only 100 hrs in tho.....

I like a liquid descaler over a powder....

I am a Harvard guy, so I do get it from Harvard and adding it to our webstore....

But also, I have used Hydramasters Liquid Descaler because my local (3.5 hours away :) ) Distributor had that in stock....

We just run into mineral deposits up here....

Also, our tanks in the Butler are Stainless Steel....

There are of course Brass parts and other metals in the TM systems....

There is just a lot of junk that gets into the systems really from various sources....

Was getting gunk in my screens too so I think I just might be running a cup of vinegar in my solution jug from now on or once a month for a rinse agent. Cleanco 56 here. Where are those vent holes on the shaft? What was that stuff you sprayed?
I almost forgot..... NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING works better on felt seals of rotary machines than Fluid Film.... It's based on a wax wool formula(read- the same shyte:lanolin and wax:) they strip off wool when they process it.... My 360i is 2 years old, and my RX20 is 20-25 years old. On the 360i, I'm. Still on the ORIGINAL seal.... I pulled the head off when I bought it, and doused it with Fluid Flim.... The shyte is pretty amazing...
