We use Google AdWords and it works
great for us, but our situation is quite different because we are not bidding on the same keywords that everyone else does. For example, if your keywords are "stain" or "cleaning" you're going to pay a fortune for them because there are so many other people bidding on those same words. The keywords that we use such as "bleach spots" or "fading" or "color damage" (etc.) are dirt cheap because no one else is bidding on them. You can quickly spend a fortune on clicks for keywords that are related to the cleaning business because there are so many other people bidding on those words.
We have an entire list of keywords, both negative and positive, that we make available for our trainees. This makes it very quick and easy for them to build a Google AdWords campaign, rather than having to start from scratch or try to reinvent the wheel. We have it posted in The Dye Lot.
