How do I fix it?
M&M construction hired Local Splash to fix their Google placement and make them a website. On April 28th a Google user identified as "mayson" gave B&B a 1 star review, along with 50 other contracting companies in the area. They also gave M&M a 5 star review with text saying they were great.

How do I report this obvious spam?

The Guy at M&M thinks it was local splash and he said he fired them after 3 months because they weren't doing anything.

Try reporting it to google, probably wont help but worth a try

Gary, just respond to the review. Just state that it was a competitor that left the review.

People know.

As the "owner" of your Google places account you are able to responed to all reviews....and should.

You can do it right on the public page if you're signed in to Google.

And remember....even a "bad" review is a good review because sometimes it's the amount of reviews that matter as far as getting noticed and SEO etc.
